Ontario Hunting and Fishing Trip Checklist

Each cottage has a three-piece bath, electric refrigerator, microwave and gas range for cooking, as well as a wood stove for heating. Cooking utensils, pots and pans, bed linens, and towels are provided with a towel change twice a week. The nearest town is Ear Falls, which offers grocery, hardware, and home stores where you can pick up things you might want.

What to Bring on your Trip

  • Lifejackets (personal floatation devices)
  • Insect repellent
  • Suntan lotion and sunglasses
  • Camera and film
  • Fishing tackle / fishing pole(s)
  • Depth finder (powered with dry cell batteries)
  • First-aid kit
  • Personal toiletries
  • Clothing (Canadian weather changes quickly so dress in layers)
  • Rain suit, rubber boots, and hat
  • Groceries and beverages
  • Filet knives and sharpening stone
  • Playing cards and reading materials
  • Coffee maker*
  • Toaster*

*We supply stovetop versions of a coffee maker and a toaster but some people might prefer the convenience of more modern versions.
